The 366th Infantry Regiment was a segregated combat regiment of African American soldiers who served in World War I. Much of the regiment’s manpower came from Alabama, and this database seeks to list and recognize each of those soldiers. Using World War I Service Records in the ADAH Digital Collections and Outgoing Troop Transport Lists from Fold3, database entries include historical information such as the name of the ship each soldier was transported on as well as genealogical information such as their county of residence, along with their emergency contact’s name and relationship (which often reveals the name of the soldier’s next of kin). Each entry includes a link to the soldier's service record in our database, where applicable.
